In this workshop we evolve the “Yes chef!” mentality of kitchens of affirmative compliance, into more of a statement of willing and common purpose. We do that by offering three tools to create buy-in in the brigade:
Tool 1: The Emotional Intelligence Frame – understanding and managing yourself (what makes you tick, what will push your buttons), before you attempt to understand or manage others.
Tool 2: Transactional Analysis – training your team with an adult to adult mindset, not a parent/child, or master/servant one.
Tool 3: Debriefing techniques as a way to bridge the gap between individual performance and the team’s performance, creating a culture of personal accountability.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
On completion of the programme participants will:
An understanding of the four human thinking preferences via the Herrmann Brain Dominance Index
An understanding of how your own thinking preference can affect the morale and performance of the individuals in your team
Understand how to flex your style to suit the preferences of your team so you are more effective in getting what you need from them
Practice at giving instruction and feedback in an adult to adult way
A structure for debriefing performance so it feels productive, not personal
