Managing Your Friends

It originated from the reality that stepping up for the first time is not easy: Being a “friend” one day and a “manager” the next is a really hard balance to strike.

It is designed for bar & restaurant managers new to management including shift supervisors, and chefs de cuisine.

It has been attended by floor supervisors, kitchen supervisors, senior sous, chefs de partie, assistant managers, assistant general managers, specialist functions and founders moving from a different sector.

Each workshop will run from 10.30am-2.30pm.

Because managing a team to deliver long term results requires a manager who can create a high performing culture, delegate, coach and give feedback skilfully.

It is designed for single site line managers including GM, Head Chef and anyone in hospitality who has responsibility for long term team performance.

It has been attended by GMs and those heading to GM. Head chefs and heading to head chef. Founders who want to consolidate their team leadership skills. Specialist and support functions including marketing, IT and reservations.
