By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the foundations of effective training, including how attention, memory, practice and cognitive load influence learning.
- Plan and structure workplace training so that information and tasks are clear, manageable and appropriately sequenced.
- Explain and demonstrate tasks effectively, giving learners opportunities to practise, checking their understanding and gradually supporting them to become independent.
- Create a supportive training environment where people feel valued, belong and can thrive.
- Recognise the value of their role as a trainer and the transferable communication, coaching, leadership and problem-solving skills they are developing.
